Roddy - Jimmie Wallace Carr, Sr., age 84, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at 2:00 PM, in the Chapel of Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roddy Community Cemetery. J.W. was born in Dodge County, and was the son of the late Clifton Carr and Vergie Mae Horne Carr. He was the widower of Jewell Frances Carr, and was preceded in death by a son Jimmie Wallace Carr, Jr., and a grandson Don Gino Young, Jr. J.W. was a former employee of Robins Air Force Base and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors are his daughters, Regina (Don) Young of Rentz, and Vickie (Ronnie) Rogers of Chester; sons, Donnie Arnold of Eastman, Al (Chrissy) Arnold of Fraser, MI, and Kevin (Suzie) Carr of Cochran; sisters, Margaret Register of Macon, and Sharon Bender of Cochran; brothers, Thermon (Barbara) Carr of Cochran, Russell (Marie) Carr of Gresston, and Charles (Cheryl) Carr of Eastman; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The family will greet friends following the service in the Chapel of Fisher Funeral Home.
