<p>Sandra J. Howard, 73, of Sanford, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021.&nbsp; Sandy was born to Gerald &amp; Concetta (Lupino) Marchant on August 19, 1948 in Watertown, MA.&nbsp; She grew up and graduated high school in Billrica MA .&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Sandy married and started a family moving to Sanford, ME.&nbsp; She was a stay at home mom with her 3 children.&nbsp; When her children were old enough she went to work for the Journal Tribune for many years teaching kids paper routes.&nbsp; Later on she spent 21 years as a school crossing guard.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Sandy loved baseball , when Sanford announced they needed volunteers for a new baseball team The Sanford Mainers, she was the first person you saw at the gate working the ticket booth along side her husband for several seasons and didn&#39;t miss a game.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Sandy adored her Toy Yorkie Jake and loved taking him for walks and sitting on her front porch watching &quot;her&quot; hummingbirds.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Sandy was predeceased by her newborn twin daughters Elaine and Laura, her parents, brother George and sister Geraldine.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>She is survived by her husband of almost 52 years James Howard SR, daughter Lee-Ann Gagnon and significant other Steve Baltzley, daughter Patricia-Lee Osborne and husband Kurt, son James Howard JR and fiancee Jennifer King.&nbsp; Granddaughters Miranda, Samantha, Haley, Ashley, and Kelsey. Grandsons Hunter, Alex and Shaun and her favorite , 3 great grandchildren,&nbsp; McKenna, Brooklynn and Westin.&nbsp; Sisters Linda Burns and Joann Isabell, brother Gerald Marchant and many nieces and nephews.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 29th from 1 to 3PM at the Lafrance-Lambert &amp; Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Burial will be at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Springvale.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Sandra J. Howard, 73, of Sanford, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021.  Sandy was born to Gerald & Concetta (Lupino) Marchant on August 19, 1948 in Watertown, MA.  She grew up and graduated high school in Billrica MA .
