Jane Anne Parsons Obituary

Jane Anne Parsons, 87 of Gilbert, Arizona and formerly of Spirit Lake, Iowa passed away on August 21, 2021 at BeeHive Homes Assisted Living, Gilbert, Arizona.  She was born the daughter of Charlie and Adele (Johnson) Collins on December 19th, 1933, in Humboldt, Iowa.  Growing up, Jane attended school in Humboldt, Iowa.  She was a cheerleader at Humboldt High School and graduated in 1950. She then went on to study at Iowa Teachers College.  On October 20, 1957, Jane was married to John R. Parsons Jr. in Humboldt, Iowa.   The couple was blessed with three sons: John III, Steve, and Dan.  Throughout her life, Jane has lived in Humboldt, Des Moines, Estherville, Spirit Lake, Iowa and Florida. She has lived at her cottage on Big Spirit Lake since 1975.  In her free time, Jane enjoyed hosting family and friends, painting, golfing and traveling.  Those left to cherish her memory include her three sons: John, Steve, and Dan; her four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous family and friends.  Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Adele Collins; siblings: Leonard, Glenn, Roger, Ray, and Betty Lou; husband, John Parsons Jr.; and great-grandson, Brenan.  No local services are planned.  Funeral services and interment are pending and under the direction of Turner-Jenness Funeral Home, Spirit Lake, Iowa.  Richardson Funeral Home, Tempe, Arizona and Turner-Jenness Funeral Home, Spirit Lake, Iowa are both compassionately serving the Parsons family.
