Marlene Sue Velletri Rochester, New York Obituary

Marlene Sue Velletri

Brockport, NY: August 16, 2021 at the age of 83. Marlene is predeceased by her husband and love of her life, Peter Paul; her parents: Merle Curkendall and Lottie Hamilton; her brothers: Grant Hamilton, William Curkendall, Pete Curkendall (Jean), Charles Curkendall (Annabelle), and Richard Curkendall (Carol). She is survived by her daughters: Shawn Velletri and Nicole Hastings (Damon); several grandchildren: Danielle Myers (John), Mark Gerringer (Dezirae), Gabrielle Cruz, Landon Lussier, Nicholas Cruz, and Monty Velletri; five great grandchildren: Hailey Myers, Mark & Brantley Gerringer, Luca Lussier, and Ezekiel Cruz; brother-in-law Joseph Velletri and wife Faye; and many nieces and nephews. Marlene enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Bella; at home and at the beach. Her outlook on life was similar to the way she viewed the seashells she had collected over the years. “Remember…it’s the differences that make us unique.” A special thank you the nurses at Rochester Regional Health Hospice Care, Joelle Davis and Penny Bloom. They were truly angels who showed compassion, empathy and support to my mom and family during this extremely difficult time. Marlene’s Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 11th 9:00-11:00 AM (Visitation), and 11:00-12:00 (Memorial Service) at Arndt Funeral Home, 1118 Long Pond Road (south of Maiden Lane), Rochester (Greece), NY 14626.
