PEKIN – Connie Hays, 68, of Pekin, passed away at 5:56 a.m. at UnityPoint Health – Proctor in Peoria. She was born on December 9, 1947, in Peoria to Brown and Della Mae (Beaver) Burke. Connie was married to Robert Hays, he preceded her in death in 2010. She is also preceded in death by her parents. Connie is survived by her two sons, Eric Jones and Scott (Kara) Jones, one grandson, two sisters, Donna Wright and Cathy (Tom) Talley, one brother, Bill (Vicki) Burke, and her uncle, William (Frances) Collier. Connie worked for Biehl's Cleaners as a presser for 10 years. Cremation rites have been accorded. A burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date.
