Dale I. Moser, 65, of Hoopeston, passed away at 8:25 a.m. Monday, August 23, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.

Dale was born on August 14, 1956, in Watseka, Illinois, the son of George and Arlene (Bauer) Moser.  He married Joan (Morgan) Kauffman on December 17, 1977, in Gilman, Illinois and they were married until 1984.  Together they had three children- Jamie Moser, Jacob Moser, and Jackie Carswell.  Dale later married Shellie Burch on March 22, 1986, in Hoopeston.

He is survived by his wife-Shellie Moser; four children-Jamie Moser of Hoopeston, Jacob Moser of Marion, Jackie Carswell of Watseka and Daniel Caswell of Ambia, Indiana; eight grandchildren- Andrew (Jasmine), Alex and Ashley Winchester, Parks Moser, and Kaytlin, Keersten, Kregg, Khendryk Carswell; three great-grandchildren- Harlynny, Huntleigh and Harlowe Winchester; two brothers- Tom (Nancy) Moser of Texas and Dean (Belinda) Moser of Cissna Park; sister- Barb (Doug) Knapp of Urbana; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog- Georgia Von Moser.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother- Marvin Moser.

Dale graduated from Cissna Park High School, in 1976.  He worked at Hinkle Produce, for over 20 years, in Cissna Park.  He also worked as a truck driver and in construction.  Farming was Dale’s greatest love.  He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and the FFA.  Dale enjoyed woodworking, bowling, playing golf, playing online poker, and he was a fantastic gardener.  He could fix anything, and he even built his house, which was an ongoing project.  Family was everything to Dale and enjoyed spending time with them. 

Memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Blurton Funeral Home, in Hoopeston.  Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.  According to his wishes cremation rites have been accorded.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Dale’s life.  Condolences may be shared with the family on his everlasting memorial page at:  www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
