Corrine Nell Lange, age 76 of Cannon Falls, died on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System - St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester.

Corrine was born on April 12, 1945 in Hayfield, MN, the daughter of Estel and Evelyn (Garnes) Shorter. She graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1963 and went on to begin her career in bookkeeping. She started at a bank in Rochester, then Kid Duds in Cannon Falls for years, and later working for 27 years at Cenex in Inver Grove Heights, until retiring.

She married Larry Lange on October 16, 1976 in Sioux Falls, SD. She was a longtime member of First English Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, where she volunteered her time using her professional skills at the church. She was an avid Bingo player, loved garage sales, and fishing with her significant other, Michael Knodle. She had the most beautiful handwriting and loved spending hours on Facebook. She will be remembered for her love of family and the joy spending time with them brought to her life.

She is survived by her sons, Gerald (Sally) Fiddler of Hudson, WI and Kevin (Lisa) Fiddler of West St. Paul; grandchildren, Abigael Fiddler (Michael Cain), Adam Fiddler, and Elizabeth Fiddler (Jonathan Bruesch); her great grandson, James Theodore Cain; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken (Judy) Shorter of Cushing, Don (Carole) Shorter of Adrian, and Richard (Kathy) Shorter of Cannon Falls; brother-in-law, John Nelson of Junction City, OR; sisters-in-law, Barb Shorter of Inver Grove Heights and Joann Shorter of Spring Valley; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Lange; significant other, Michael Knodle; sister, Marlene Nelson; and brothers, Robert and Thomas Shorter.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 25 from 4-7 pm at Lundberg Funeral Home, Cannon Falls.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 26 at 11:00 am, with visitation from 10-11 am, at First English Lutheran Church, Cannon Falls. Masks and social distancing guidelines will be followed. The service will be live-streamed and the link is below.

Active pallbearers will be Adam Fiddler, Michael Cain, Jonathan Bruesch, Chad Shorter, Chris Shorter, and Matt Shorter. Honorary pallbearer will be James Theodore Cain.

Interment will take place at a later date at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.
