Linda Joan Bryant Obituary

Linda Joan Bryant, 68, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 19, 2021.  She was born April 27, 1953 in Euclid, OH to the late John L. and Irene X. Morgan. She had a strong faith and was a devoted servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. She filled many roles in Hope UM Church and later The Church on the Boulevard. Linda served as a missionary in Eastern Europe on several occasions. She mentored mothers at Akron Pregnancy Services, and blessed and enriched the lives of everyone she met. Linda made her home a refuge to anyone that needed one and was a mom to all. Her ministry extended into her nursing career as well. She enjoyed participating in the Fall Hiking Spree and running 5K’s. The swimming pool at her home was a gathering place for friends and neighbors, the Boys of Summer, family and church groups, including baptisms.

Linda was preceded in death by her first husband, James C. Phillips; sister-in-law, Nan Morgan; and father-in-law, Jay Phillips. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Roger Bryant; children, Gwenn Phillips, Morgan (Daniel) Vargo; and grandchildren, Jadyn, Brandon, Julia, Brianna, Isaac, Chase; brothers, John Morgan, Charles (Cathy) Morgan; sister, Deborah (Ed) Dragar; mothers-in-law, Margaret Bryant, and Nettie Phillips; brothers-in-law, Steven Phillips and John Phillips; sister-in-law, Marilyn Gordon; two nephews, many nieces; goddaughters, Helen and Danielle; special friends, Marlene, LucilleErica and Keneki; and a host of other great friends who loved her.

Friends may call at Bacher Moore Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., Akron, OH 44319 on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at The Church on the Boulevard, 754 Kenmore Blvd., Akron, Ohio 44314, on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. A meal will follow the service.

If desired, donations may be made to The Church on the Boulevard, Akron Pregnancy Services, or Summit Missions Intl., in memory of Linda Bryant.
