Norma L. Pratt

Norma L. (Hoch) Pratt died Thursday, August 19, 2021 at New Jersey Eastern Star Home in Bridgewater, NJ. She was 90. Norma was born in Newark, NJ where she lived, moving to East Orange, NJ in 1954, and had lived in Gillette, NJ since 1965. She was a graduate of West Side High School in Newark, NJ and worked as an actress in many films including Toxic Avenger, Under the Rainbow, Stuck on You!, The Survivors and Ghostbusters, and also in commercials including the New York State Lottery. She was a member of the Screen Actors Guild, SAG-AFTRA. She also performed in the Wizard of Oz at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ. Most important was her career as a Homemaker. Norma was a member of the Gillette Chapel in Gillette, NJ, having strong faith as a Christian, and studied the Bible. She also performed in all of the annual productions at the Church from 1967 - 1980. She was also a member of Trinity United Church in Warren, NJ. She was predeceased by her sister Alice Hoch of Stirling. Norma is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Ralph E. Pratt, her 3 sons Gary E. Pratt and his wife Joyce, Dennis A. Pratt and his fiancé Arlene Begane, and David A. Pratt and his wife Nicole. She is also survived by her granddaughter Mary Rose Pratt. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. A Funeral Service will follow at 5 PM at the Funeral Home. Disposition is private.
