Lillie Robinson Greenlee, age 86 of Marion, passed away Friday, May 21, 2004 at The McDowell Hospital. Mrs. Greenlee was born in Yancey County on February 20, 1918 and was the daughter of the late Willard Robinson and Mollie McNeill Robinson. She was a member of Garden Creek Baptist Church and she retired from Cross Cotton Mills. Her first husband, Lawrence F. Wilson and her second husband, W. D. Greenlee, preceded her in death. Mrs. Greenlee is survived by her daughter, Doris Seay and husband Jack of Marion; two step-sons, Jerry Greenlee of Alburquerque, NM and Kenny Greenlee and his wife Lois of Marion; four sisters, Georgia Hinnant of Greenville, SC, Joyce Powers of Burnsville, Loretta Zuschiag of Morrow, GA and Emma Draughn of Valdese; one brother, Herman Robinson of Morganton. Ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive her. Services will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. in Westmoreland Chapel with Rev. Allen McKinney and Rev. Ross Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
