Howard Edward Rice Obituary
Howard Edward Rice, age 51, of Nebo, N. C. died Saturday, October 16, 2004 at The McDowell Hospital. Mr. Rice was born in Paintsville, KY on March 3, 1953 and was a son of the late Paul Ervin Rice and Ruby Cyrus Rice. Mr. Rice is survived by his wife, Paula Bunch Rice, of the home; five children, Jerry Nelson of Morganton, Terry Bunch and Jeremiah Bunch of Asheboro, Mary Bunch and Joshua Bunch of the home; three sisters, Shirley Wright of Michigan, Garnetta Fitzpatrick and Mary Jean Stacey of Ohio and one brother, Herbert Simon of Ohio; six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Billy Jones officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Cyrus Family Cemetery in Louisa, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to The Family, 141 Pinnacle Heights, Nebo, N. C. 287
