<p>Joseph E. Thompson,&nbsp; 62, of William Penn Road, Osterburg, died on Monday, August 16, 2021 at home.</p> <p>Joe was born in Windber on January 16, 1959, son of Carl A. and Betty J. (Calhoun) Thompson.</p> <p>On March 20, 1998 in Winchester, VA Joe married Terri (Smith) Thompson.</p> <p>Along with his wife he is survived by his parents Carl and Betty Thompson, Bedford, by daughters- Misti wife of&nbsp; Stew Claycomb, Imler; Daughter- Holly wife of&nbsp; Cameron Dick, Duncansville; Step Daughter- Jill wife of&nbsp; Kale Sciranko, Manns Choice; 7 grandchildren, sister- Sharon Telmanik, Bedford; Brother- Wayne Thompson, Schellsburg. He was preceded in death by sister-Karen Shippey.</p> <p>Joe was a 1978 graduate of Bedford High School. Joe was a hard worker. He worked as a warehouseman, most recently for Target Distribution in Chambersburg, and First Stop Shop in Altoona. Joe was most proud of being a PIAA baseball (41 years) and volleyball official. His greatest achievement was having umpired two boys&#39; baseball state championship games. Joe was a kind-hearted and easy going guy that touched the lives of many.</p> <p>Joe was quite the gardener. He enjoyed giving the fruits and vegetables of his labor to others.</p> <p>There will be no visitation. Funeral Services will be private with Pastor C.
