<p>Rolla-Jean McIntosh</p> <p>March 12, 1953 &ndash; August 13, 2021</p> <p>Peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Rolla-Jean McIntosh of Mulgrave &amp; Derry, Quebec. Beloved wife of Royden Brown. Loving mother of Matthew Brown (Gillian Hoyer) and Marnie Brown. Adoring grandmother of Lily. Also survived by her brother Donald (Lynn Horne), nephews Douglas and Scott, niece Leigh-Ann, and many great nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Rollay McIntosh and Lily McLellan of Thurso, Quebec.</p> <p>Rolla loved children and made elementary education her life&rsquo;s work. She was a dedicated employee of the Western Quebec School Board, teaching for many years at Buckingham School before becoming Principal at Wakefield, Kazabazua and Poltimore Schools. She leaves behind many friends, former colleagues and students who benefitted from her devotion and care.</p> <p>Respecting Rolla&rsquo;s wishes cremation has taken place. A private funeral service for family and friends will be held at a later date. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the CLSC Vall&eacute;e-de-la-Li&egrave;vre for their excellent at-home care.
