Nina Fay Brewer passed away November 5, 2016 in Medford, Ore. She was born November 12, 1930 to Oren B. Tucker and Dovie Lee Venable Tucker. Nina married Roy "Bert" Brewer August 19, 1948 in Roseburg, Ore. Bert preceded her in death July 5, 2011. Nina worked as an Avon representative and loved collecting their brand's products. In 1964 she was promoted to district manager which prompted the family's move from Roseburg to Medford, Ore. She transferred to McAlester, Okla., and retired after 29 years of devoted service. Nina was involved in the National Alliance of the Mentally Ill (NAMI). She was with the organization for 10 years when she became the Oklahoma Chapter President. Nina and Bert were also very involved in the Elk Lodge and became lifetime members. She was a member of First Christian Church in Medford, Ore. where she had served as Deaconess, Sunday school teacher, youth sponsor, and choir member. Nina enjoyed learning all types of dance, exercising, swimming, camping, spending time at the Oregon coast, and she especially loved spending time with her family. Nina is survived by her children, Gary (Kathy) Brewer of Ruch, Ore., Marsha Rodenberger of Indianapolis, Ind., and Roy (Cami) Brewer of Medford, Ore.; sister, Barbara (Bill) Phillips of Logan, Ala.; grandchildren, Summer, Mesa, Crystal, Cassandra, Cathryn, Brittany, Melissa, Mickey, Bonnie, and Rebecca; and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. December 3, 2016 at the First Christian Church, 1900 Crater Lake Avenue, Medford, Ore. Memorial contributions may be made to Nina's favorite charity, ASPCA, or to the church of one's choosing.
