Richard T. “Tommy” “Arch” Archdeacon, 74, of Hampton, NJ passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Arch was born in Albany, NY on March 13, 1947 to the late Richard C. and Ruth McCarroll Archdeacon. Arch was raised in Cranford, NJ, from an early age, until fishing drew him out to Hunterdon County, where he resided until he passed. Arch worked in Quality Control at General Motors for many years. After retirement, he was a house painter in the Hunterdon County area. Arch is survived by his wife, Laura Anderson Archdeacon; sons, Austin Archdeacon and his wife Laura and Richard Archdeacon and his partner Chise’; 2 granddaughters; and brother, Chuck Archdeacon and his partner Nancy. A Memorial Visitation for Arch will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 5pm to 8pm at the Rupell Funeral Home, LLC; 465 Memorial Parkway; Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made in Arch’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; 501 St. Jude Place; Memphis, TN 38105.Obituary
