Peter was raised on a farm in Sunny Glen SK. He married Isabel Leibel in 1952 and farmed his father’s homestead. They had eight children, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. 

Peter had a passion for farming. After retiring from farming at 82, he continued to drive out to check the crops. He loved playing cards, woodworking, singing, and teaching his children and grandchildren how to enjoy the simple things in life. “Well naturally!“ was Peter’s favourite expression.
