George J. Loomis, Jr., 67, of Vineland, NJ passed away suddenly on Saturday evening August 7, 2021 at the Cape Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. George was born in Philadelphia, raised in Pennsauken & Deptford and had lived in Commercial Twp for 22 yrs prior to moving to Vineland in 2018. He was the son of the late Ornett (Craft) & George J. Loomis, Sr. After graduating from Deptford High School, George entered the United States Marine Corp serving for 4 yrs during the Vietnam War. George worked as a casino dealer and later as a floor person for 23 yrs at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. After retirement he worked for several years at Lowes Home Improvement Store. George loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar in several local pickup bands as well as open mic nights. He also was an avid motorcyclist for many years. Most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his only grandson. George is survived by his wife; Elizabeth A. (Dunn), 3 step daughters; Deanna (Dave) Porter, Jacquelynne Boruck & Brittany Dunn, Grandson; Brasen, Sister; Janet Loomis, Brother; Matthew Loomis as well as several nieces & nephews.
