Mary Curtis, age 81, of Dalton, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her mother. Irene Gilbert and sister, JoAnn Bryant. Survivors include her husband of sixty one years, Alvin Curtis; daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Wesley Blevins of Dalton and Angela and Ronald Williams of Calhoun; son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Angie Curtis of Dalton; sister and brothers-in-law, Alyce and David Mansfield of Dalton and Wayne Bryant of Helen, GA; brother, Frank Carswell of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Matthew Teem, Braden Blevins, Jennifer Newton, Michael Harrell, Megan Grant, Jeffrey Brian Curtis. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2021 in the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond English. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at United Memorial Gardens.
