Obituary
Paul M. Giegerich, Jr. died Friday August 6, 2021 at his home in Warren, NJ with his devoted family at his side. He was 54. Paul was born on February 6, 1967, a son to Mary Alice (French) and Paul M. Giegerich, Sr. in Elizabeth, NJ. He lived in Cranford and Berkeley Heights before moving to Warren, NJ 35 years ago. He was a graduate of McAuley School in Scotch Plains, NJ and worked as a Maintenance Engineer for Campbell and Campbell Law Offices in Bayonne, NJ for 15 years. This was followed by many years of service at Koinonia Academy as the director of maintenance and social affairs. Paul loved sports, cheering his favorite teams including the NY Yankees and NY Giants. He enjoyed swimming, and horseback riding and competed in many Special Olympic events winning many Gold Medals. He spent many summers going to Camp Hope, and later became a Camp Staff member. Most noteworthy, with many friends and family he was loved by all. His friends would say of him—to know him is to love him. Paul is survived by his loving and caring parents Mary Alice (French) and Paul M. Giegerich Sr., and his family, David and Heather (Provinsal), Daniel and Margaret (McChesney), and Michael and Michelle (Guerin) and 11 nieces and nephews. In the words of Paul, “Did I do good?”. Yes, Paul. You did good. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 4 - 7 PM at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church, 250 Bebout Ave., Stirling, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Church with Fr. Richard Carton officiating. Burial will follow at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Stirling, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of the Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Koinonia Academy, koinoniaacademy.org.
