Linda L. Pasco Obituary

Linda L. (Nincehelser) Pasco, 69, of rural Auburn, Nebraska was born on November 8, 1951, in Nebraska City, Nebraska to Lloyd and Anna Mae ((Simmons) Nincehelser.  Her parents raised her and her 11 siblings at a small farm in Peru.  Linda enjoyed sharing with everyone her many memories of this time whether it was meals from scratch taught to her by her mother, warm bricks in their bed at night to keep warm, sharing one room with too many siblings to count, to life lessons of the farm from her dad and her missing new red boot she lost in the pond by their home.  Linda is still looking for her little red boot if anyone finds it.

Linda went to school in Peru until her sophomore year and was always proud to be one of the last classes to attend Peru Prep.  She completed her high school in Auburn in 1970 where on a fateful prom night she became interested in the man she would spend her life with, Jerry Pasco.  After an eventful cat a mouse game, Jerry came out on top and Linda and him were married on September 6th, 1971.  Linda and Jerry shared their journey for over 50 years together.

Linda and Jerry had the joy of five girls during their marriage and spent time traveling around Nebraska throughout those years the girls were in school going to all of their girls many activities including volleyball games, plays, music events and cross country meets.  They made it to 4 towns around Nebraska with many new friends along the way until finally settling back at the Pasco Family Farm.

Linda discovered Facebook and she enjoyed reintroducing and visiting with her family and friends.  Many loved ones have wonderful memories of sharing late night conversations with her over the internet.  Linda believed in the simple life of cooking for her loved ones, raising her beloved chickens, sitting at her kitchen table visiting, growing her beautiful flowers and bountiful garden veggies, and always discovering a new way to save money including making her own cheese from their dairy cow.  But above all else Linda enjoyed her grandchildren and for anyone who would dare ask she would recount each of her grandchildren and their unique characteristics that made them special to her until they may have regretted asking.

Linda passed away on August 4th, 2021, at her home in rural Auburn where she was most at peace.  She will be remembered for her homemade noodles, homemade pies with crust made from scratch, her loving and caring heart, and her undeniable love story she shared with Jerry.  Linda was a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the Pasco Family Farm in rural Auburn.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family with a later designation.
