Jason David Garrett

October 8, 1978 - July 26, 2021

 

Our hearts are crushed to announce the tragic passing of Jason Garrett on Monday July 26, 2021 at the age of 42 years.  Jason was born in Lacombe and lived in Alix, Alberta until 1991 when he moved to the Breton area where he made his home. Jason completed high school in 1997 and went to work in the oilfield while continuing his guiding business.  He met his wife, Mamie in 2005 and together they raised their three children. Jason loved to hunt and fish, spending as many hours in the outdoors as possible. He cherished spending time with family and friends, always making a special effort to get together. Jason had the biggest smile and the most infectious laugh. He was a kind and generous man; however, Jason was not particularly fond of sharing a “honey hole” or “lucky tree stand.”

Jason will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mamie and his three children, Aiden, Addison and Alivia and his mother Linda Garrett. His will also be missed by his sister, Brandy Reade (Darby O’Grady), his brother Jeffery Reade(Tiffany Chretien) and his nieces Chloe and Ellie plus extended family, Lorne and Cecelia Garrett, Pat and Rai Phippen, (Darien, Jaylyn, Shelby and Eric), Brian and Stacey Garrett (Dustin and Dawson), Shelly and Ryan Keenan (Katelyn, Evan and Hazel).

Jason was predeceased by his grandparents, Alma and Walter Garrett, his Uncles Raymond and David Garrett, and cousins, Richard Cornelson and Doug Bonnett.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at the Warburg Community Hall on August 7, 2021 at 1 PM with Jeff Gooderham officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully appreciated to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation, 800 College Plaza, 8215 – 112 Street, Edmonton, Alberta. T6G 2C8
