Ms. Myrtle W. Smith

Ms. Myrtle W. Smith, age 89, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. Ms. Smith was born March 1, 1932, in Dallas, Georgia to Mr. and Mrs. William Monroe (Onie Folsom) Wallace. She worked at Paulding Memorial Hospital in Supplies Management for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William (Onie Folsom) Wallace; her daughter, Ann Denton; her brothers, Hugh Dean Wallace and Paul Wallace and her sisters, Kathleen Walker and Rilla Spain. Ms. Smith is survived by her sons, Gary (Kay) Smith and Kenny (Laura) Smith; her grandchildren, William Lee (Hillary) Smith, Thomas Bryant (Kenzie) Smith, Leslie (Paul) Laird, Wesley (Jill) Smith; her great grandchildren, Brett Smith, Maddie Smith, Anna Laird, Finley Laird and Kaislie Smith and her great great grandchildren, Owen Smith and Tucker Smith. Graveside Services for Ms. Smith will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021, 2:00 P.M. at Mount Zion Community Cemetery with Pastor Chuck Tillman officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service for Ms. Smith on Monday, August 2, 2021, at Benson Funeral Home. The family will meet at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Mount Zion Community Cemetery.
