Anchor Point resident, Mr. Chris Alan McKenna, 57, died Monday, June 26, 2021, at Mat-Su Regional Hospital in Palmer. Memorial services will take place at a later date on the Homer Spit and Emerson Park in Midland, Michigan for family and friends. Chris was born April 9, 1964 in Detroit Michigan. He was a graduate of Meridian Senior High School in 1983. Chris moved to Alaska in 2010 where he lived in Anchor Point, Alaska. Chris worked construction jobs including painting, pipe fitting, and directional drilling. He also helped with lights and sound for a band. He was raised catholic and turned protestant after marrying Tammy. The Family wrote, “Chris enjoyed spending time watching Nascar, snowmobiling, speed skating, spending time with family and friends, especially his wife, boys, grandchildren and his furbabies.” He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh McKenna and mother, Jean (Hees) McKenna. He is survived by his wife, Tammy (Dillon) McKenna of Anchor Point, sons, Brandon Dillon of Homer and Zachary (Kylie) McKenna of Anchor Point; grandson, Zayden McKenna of Anchor Point and granddaughter, Scarlett McKenna of Anchor Point; brother, Dave McKenna of Midland, MI and sister, Karen (Mike) Engelhardt of Midland, MI; nieces, Michele Costley of Midland, MI, Katrice Martin of Loon Bohol, Philippines, Vesta Parks of Homer, Krysten Romero of Freeland, MI, Sarah Romero of Midland, MI, Irene Dillon of Illesheim, Germany, Madelynn Dillon of Sherman, TX, Laykien Dillon of Sherman, TX, Justine Volker of Merrill, MI, Kilah Hunter of Merrill, MI and Paetyn Korneyl of Midland, MI; nephews, Chad (Nadia) Costley of Midland, MI, Kevin Spiker of Midland, MI, Billy Parks of Homer, Jonathan Dillon of Sherman, TX, Noah Volker of Merrill, MI Victor Jr. of Loon Bohol, Philippines, and great niece Lorelai Dillon of Sherman, TX.
