Erma Jean (Resh) Broadwater, 87, of Accident, MD, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. Born April 1, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Cora A. (Schroyer) Resh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis P. Broadwater in 2009; five brothers, Elra Galen (Jessie) Resh, Robert Clayton (Dorothy) Resh, Cecil (Emogene) Resh and Kenneth (Joan) Resh; one great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Paige. She is survived by her five children, Brenda, Bonnie, Teri and Danny Broadwater; and Wendy (Brian) Rugg; eight grandchildren, Cody, Cory (Taylor), and Colby Broadwater, Matthew, Elizabeth (Joey) Ruble, Brandon Broadwater, Ryan and Ethan Rugg; one great-grandson, Easton Ryder, her little man; a sister-in-law, Verda Mae House, Grantsville, MD; She was also blessed with many nieces and nephews. Erma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her farm, watching over the cows and sheep. “We would like to thank the staff of Ruby Memorial Hospital, Hospice of Garrett County and Newman Funeral Home.” At Erma’s request she will be cremated and no services will be held. Interment will take place in the St. Paul’s Cemetery, Accident. Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD, is assisting the family with arrangements.
