Bev Tuttle

Bev J. Tuttle, 90, of Marshalltown, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 30, 2021 with family by her side at the Iowa River Hospice Home. Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 7 at 4:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Hershberger officiating. Friends and family are also invited to a visitation and time of gathering immediately following the service. Bev will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date. Bev Jean Reisetter was born on October 27, 1930 in Radcliffe, Iowa, one of two children born to Irvin and Judith (Male) Reisetter. She graduated from Radcliffe High School and obtained her teaching certificate. After meeting the love of her life, Lyle Tuttle, they were united in marriage on June 2, 1950 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Radcliffe. They made their home for a brief time in Hampton, Iowa before settling down to raise their six boys in Marshalltown. Bev was a hardworking homemaker and dedicated wife with unshakeable faith. She was a member of Elim Lutheran Church in Marshalltown and enjoyed participating in many of the women’s groups there. Bev was also a member of the Red Hat Society, the bowling league and the Rusty Hinges water aerobics group. More than anything else, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Bev was an excellent cook, making everything from scratch and ensuring that her family was well-fed. She will be deeply missed by those left to cherish her memory, including her six sons: David (Carolyn) Tuttle, Gene (Gabi) Tuttle, Bruce (Linnette) Tuttle, Jeff (Renda) Tuttle, Eric (Regina) Tuttle and Matthew (Gina) Tuttle; her grandchildren: Lezli Tuttle, Kyle (Danielle) Tuttle, Blade Tuttle, Ryan Grounds, Sara (Justin) Dunblazier, Justin Tuttle, Michelle (Danny) Black, Kevin (Bonnie) Tuttle, Adam (Jaryn) Tuttle and Andrew (Joanna) Tuttle; numerous great-grandchildren and one on the way; her brother, Chuck (Leone) Reisetter and several great-granddogs. In death, Bev is reunited with her beloved husband, Lyle; her parents: Irvin and Judith Reisetter and her in-laws: Don and Martha Tuttle.
