Hilda B. Sloan of Groveland, Florida passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, July 30, 2021, at the age of 88. She is preceded in death by her husband; William Clyde Sloan. Hilda is survived by her daughter; Marcia Sloan, son; Albert Sloan, and spouse, daughter; Angela Rhoden and spouse, 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and sister; Nellie Mae Brown. Hilda was born on August 8, 1932, in Greenpond, Florida to the parents of Charles Bridges and Dollie Thompson. She was the youngest of 5 children. She was married at the age of 15 and began her life as a homemaker, farmer, mother, and many other things throughout her life. She loved to crochet, she loved to fish, she loved to bake, she loved her family, and most of all she loved the Lord. She was the matriarch of her family and her legacy will live on through her family and she will be greatly missed. .
