Pearl Minnich

Pearl Minnich, age 90, of Wilmington fell asleep in the Lord on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Pearl was a graduate of Mt. Carmel Area High School in Pennsylvania. Pearl was employed for many years as a classroom aide with the Red Clay Consolidated School District before retiring in 1998. Pearl was a lifetime member of St. Michael’s Orthodox Church where she served on the Parish Council and as treasurer. Additionally, Pearl enjoyed making pierogies with fellow church members for annual fundraisers. She was an avid reader who loved cooking and crocheting. Pearl is preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Ann Minnich and siblings Anna, Michael, Metro, Walter, and Sandra. Pearl is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Ned Minnich; children Mike Minnich (Kathy), Joe Minnich (Mary) and Kevin Minnich (Laura); sisters, Julie Bushick and Olga Thomas, both of Pennsylvania; grandchildren Sarah, Jeremy, Jen, Christine, Joe, Matt, Kevin, Kenzi, Ria, Regan, and four great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday August 2, 2021 at St. Michael the Archangel Orthodox Church, 2300 W. Huntington Dr., Wilmington, where visitation will begin at 10 AM. Burial will immediately follow at All Saints Cemetery. Contributions in Pearl’s memory may be made to St. Michael the Archangel Orthodox Church.
