Paul C. Green

<p>Paul C. Green, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. He was born in Hartford, CT to Clarence and Ethel (Schwartz) Green on June 18, 1935. Paul served in the Army National Guard from 1954-1956, with an honorable discharge. He was a carpenter by trade, being involved in many construction projects throughout Connecticut. Paul coached softball for Windham Youth Organization and the Women’s Softball Association of Greater Willimantic, coaching all three of his daughters. After his retirement from coaching, he and his wife would still cheer on his daughters and granddaughters from his red truck, making sure he had critiques ready for after the game. He enjoyed woodworking as a hobby, and often went to craft fairs with his wife to sell his work. He was an avid NASCAR and UConn Women’s Basketball fan, rarely ever missing a race or a game. Most of all, Paul enjoyed sitting on the front porch with his wife and his two “Lazy Bums”, Skylar and Harley, making friends with many of the neighbors who walked by. He is survived by his loving wife, Edie, of 63 years, his three daughters, Kimberly Golden and her husband Richard, Jodi and Paula Green. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Ashley Estell, Shelby Green, Caitlin Golden and Kolby Golden and a great-grandson, Cooper Estell. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Ethel Green, brother, Daniel Green and sister, June Wood. There will be a no calling hours. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can made in his name to the Women’s Softball Association of Greater Willimantic, P.O. Box 493, Willimantic, CT 06226.</p>
