Sharon K. (Riebling) Schneider Obituary

Peoria- Sharon K. (Riebling) Schneider, age 80, of Peoria, passed away at 10:05 AM on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at her home with her family by her side. Born November 8, 1940 in Quincy, IL, a daughter to William Ira and Marian Helen (Kern) Riebling. On February 11, 1961 she married Richard Schneider at St. Mark Catholic Church and together they cherished 60 years together. Sharon attended and graduated from Cosmetology school and for years was the beautician for her family and friends. She was an avid quilter and excellent seamstress. Sharon enjoyed camping and traveling, but most importantly cherished spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and sister-in-law who was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Survivors include her husband Richard of Peoria; five children: Steve (Julie) Schneider, Chris (Dennis) Wessel, David (Debbie) Schneider, Sandy (Dan) Walker and Jennifer (Barrett) Kaiz; 12 grandchildren: Debbie Volz, Matt (Taylor) Schneider, Amanda (fiancé Jeff Lynall) Wessel, Austin Wessel, Anthony Wessel, Bryce (Brittany) Sleeter, Brandon Schneider, Stephanie (Randy) Strain, AJ Walker , Madison Kaiz and Will Kaiz; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother Jerry (Elaine) Riebling, as well as several nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, sister Linda Brown, one grandchild Justin Wallace, one niece Lori Brown and great nephew Mason Brown. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 29, 2021 between the hours of 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church with an additional visitation being held 30 minutes prior to mass. Father David Heinz will officiate and burial will follow in Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Memorials in Sharon’s memory may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate or Holy Family Catholic Church.
