On July 20, 2021, Cecilia Kessler, loving Mother and Grandmother, passed away at the age of 91.  Cecilia was born on a farm near Flasher, North Dakota, with a mid-wife present.  She attended a one room school house in Fallon, North Dakota.  In 1954, Cecilia married Albert M. Kessler.  Together they had 5 children.  Albert and Cecilia were married 19 years before his death in 1973.  In 1978, Cecilia received her AA degree from Monterey Peninsula College.  She was employed by the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District, Monterey, CA as an instructional aide and retired in 2000.  In 2001 she then moved to La Pine, Oregon to be closer to her children and grandchildren.  Cecilia had an immense faith in God.  She read her bible and prayed the rosary every day.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She believed family should have a close bond and support one another no matter what.  Cecilia treated everyone with a great deal of respect and kindness.  She was an amazing dignified lady.  She was so easy to love and will be missed greatly.  Cecilia is survived by her son Albert Kessler, her daughters Tami (Bobby) Jones, and Betty Comfort all from La Pine.  Her 11 Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren.  Her sisters Annamary (Merle) Van Winkle, Betty Graner and her brothers Lorenz Vogel, Robert Vogel and Peter Vogel.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her late husband Albert M. Kessler, her sons Robert A. Kessler and Edward D. Kessler, her parents Jacob and Rose Vogel, brother John Vogel and sisters Catherine Anderson and Rose Virginia Vogel. Mom, Thank you for being a wonderful Mother! We could not have asked for a more wonderful and precious Mother!  We Love you so much!  May your bright light shine and make heaven an even brighter place!A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 27th at 10:00am at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in La Pine.  Burial will take place at the La Pine Community Cemetery.
