Willis "Bill" Waterman

Willis Ronald "Bill" Waterman, age 79, of Roscommon, died on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at his home in the presence and comfort of his family. Bill was born July 27, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Willis Arnold and Mary Ann (Szynal) Waterman. He married Shirley Beach on August 26, 1961. Bill’s family moved to Roscommon in the early ‘40s. He took over for his father at Roscommon Manufacturing Company in 1980 and remained the owner until it closed in 2009. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Most of all, Bill enjoyed spending time with his family. Bill will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Shirley Waterman of Roscommon; children Willis “Bill” (Bonnie) Waterman of Roscommon, Debbie Seames of Roscommon, and Curt (Jesse) Waterman of Roscommon; grandchildren Calvin, Aubrey, Caroline, and Jeremiah Waterman, Thomas Seames, Ashley (Trent) Hoffman, Joshua and Kaitlyn Seames, and Mason and Paige Waterman; one great-granddaughter on the way; sister Sylvia Gallagher; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Mary Ann. Family and friends will gather at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors on Sunday, July 25, 2021, from 2 to 4 PM, with a Memorial Service beginning at 4 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
