Lucas Shane Haven died on Friday, July 23rd 2021 surrounded by his family. Luke passed away from stage 4 lung cancer. A fighter, Luke fought until the very end. Born on February 5, 1989, in Memphis, TN, Luke attended Olive Branch High School and went on to receive his G.E.D Lucas’s main passion was his love of and interaction with horses. He was a horse trainer and managed several stables. He also led as a trail guide in several horse riding groups. You can tell a lot about a man who loves horses. As John Wayne once said “ Courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway.” Luke was never shy to back down from any challenge he faced. He is even asked his mom once, “Do horses go to heaven?” Another passion of Luke’s was working with computers, taking them apart and putting them back together without hesitation. He also loved playing his xbox. He was a gamer. One of his favorite things to do was spending his time with his friends, whether it be at the river, skiing on the lake or riding four wheelers Lucas is survived by his Mother, Sheila Haven of Southaven, MS., his Father, John Phelps of Hernando, MS, his sister Jenna Haven of Hernando., MS, his brother, Barry Haven, Jr. of Byhalia, MS, and his brother Ross Phelps of North Carolina.
