Mrs. Willie Mae “Michelle” Robinson, 82, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on July 19, 2021. The daughter of the late David S. Murray, Sr and Rosa Lee Dash was born May 15, 1939 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She was educated in the Orangeburg public school system. She later attended NYC Employment Development Department school where she got her credentials and met her loving husband. She pursued a long career in billing/accounting but also enjoyed her retirement years. She purchased a home in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was a faithful member of New Life Church. She was united in holy matrimony to Richard Robinson of Brooklyn, New York on January 14, 1972. The couple had 6 loving children. She was an excellent wife, homemaker and seamstress. She was an amazing mother. She loved her children and grandchildren (Grammy’s Grands) dearly. She was an avid reader since childhood. She also enjoyed fashion and current events. She will be remembered for her great cooking, family values, wise advice, ability to communicate, and her laughter. Left to mourn her passing are her devoted husband, Richard; loving children, Terrance, Kim, Timothy (Adrianne), Vincent, Lateefah (David) and Takiyah (Stephen); brothers, David, Jr. (Dorothy), Mannie, MacArthur (Mae), Howard (Dianne), and Gregory (Bobbi Carol); sisters, Betty (James), Shirley, Beverly (Ivan) and Rosa Mae; a cousin, Thelma; sister-in-law, Marie; 16 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and a couple of special sister-friends. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, at 1485 Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23464 on Sunday, July 25, and Monday July 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, Jul 27, at 1 p.m. followed by committal at Albert G. Horton, Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery at 3 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
