<p> </p> <p> </p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Jay R. Tadewald, age 64, of Trempealeau, WI, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at his home.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">He was born on March 1, 1957, in Minneapolis, MN, to Frederick and Patricia (Ramm) Tadewald. Jay was a 1975 graduate of Winona Senior High School, and he attended Winona State University.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Jay honorably served his country with the United States Navy, serving on the USS Midway.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">He was employed as a welder with the Trane Company in La Crosse for over 30 years until his retirement.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Jay will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, where he enjoyed ice diving, and spending time at Lake Winona roller-blading, paddle-boarding, and riding his bike. He was a life-time Corvette enthusiast, especially enjoying his ’68 convertible, and he loved zooming through Trempealeau on his little monkey motorcycle. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Jay is survived by two brothers, 1 sister, three nephews, three nieces, four great-nieces, as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Winona, where the American Legion Leon J. Wetzel Post 9 of Winona will provide military honors.
