Lonnie Mack Sherrill, Sr.

On September 7, 1935, the sun rose with the life of Lonnie Mack Sherrill, Sr. and on the morning of July 20, 2021 that sun would set.

The life and legacy of Lonnie Mack Sherrill, Sr. is well known in the City of Walterboro and surrounding areas. Many can recall his imprint with great stories telling of his love for others and the impartation of life lessons. Lonnie's spirit of generosity and compassionate would afford him to never meet at stranger. 

Lonnie would often reminisce about his early childhood education and how he held jobs at the Coca-Cola plant in Charlotte, NC and the Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia, PA. But, it was working on school buses in South Carolina  where he found his passion for working on automobiles. That fervent love would also motivate him to be an entrepreneur. During this time, he was blessed to build three full service auto repair garages. Lonnie passed his entrepreneurial spirit and legacy to his sons. One of Lonnie proud achievements involved being acknowledge by the South Carolina House of Representatives for his business ownership and community involvement. Through his firm and devoted guidance, Lonnie will leave a generation of memories, wisdom and love to share.
