<p><br /> Marlene Funk<br /> Richfield, Utah</p> <p>Ruth Marlene Oyler Funk, 89, passed away July 22, 2021 in Nephi. She was born June 3, 1932 in Loa, Utah to Hans Ammon and Cleo Jacobs Oyler.&nbsp; She married Bert Claude Funk on March 3, 1971 in Richfield. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Bert preceded her in death on January 6, 2003.</p> <p>Mom raised her children alone, but with the support of Grandma and Grandpa Oyler. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she had many callings. She worked in the Manti Temple as an ordinance worker and loved it so much. She was a wonderful friend to the eldery in the neighborhood and would bake and send cookies and clean for them. She worked as a nurse&rsquo;s aid until her retirement and everyone said she was a wonderful nurse. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mom and grandma.</p> <p>Survived by her children: Norene Hobbs, Gilbert, AZ; Mylene (Randall) Memmott, Scipio; Verlene (Ryan) Christensen, Santa Clara; Mike (Rhonda) Funk, McClenny, FL; 22 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Janice Oyler, Cedar City.</p> <p>Also preceded in death by her parents; son, Mitchell Funk; son-in-law John Hobbs; siblings: Richard Oyler and Barbara (JC) Smith.</p> <p>Graveside services and interment will be held Monday, July 26, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Richfield City Cemetery, where friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Live streaming of the services and online guestbook can be found at www.maglebymortuary.com under Marlene&rsquo;s obituary.
