Mrs. Alice “Gator” Garene Davis, age 64, of Marshville, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021.

Graveside services to honor Alice’s life will be held on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 24, 2021 in the H. Vann Davis III Memorial Chapel at Davis Funeral Service, 1003 E. Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112. An additional time to pay last respects will be held on Sunday, July 25 from 12:00-12:30 PM.

Alice was born on July 12, 1957 in Union County, NC, a daughter of the late Wade and Margie Elms.  Alice was a free spirit who believed in living life to the fullest and appreciating every day. She enjoyed being on the water, feeling the sun on her face and appreciating the beauty around her. Most of all, Alice loved her family and friends and cherished her time with each and every one of them. She will be missed by many, but the impact she made will live on through all those she encountered.

Those left to carry on Alice’s memory include her sister, Joyce Mullis; her sister, Donna Singletary; her sister, Pam Edwards (David); her sister, Wanda Stilwell; her brother, Steve Love (LeNeal); her brother, Wade Elms Jr.; three special friends, Big Al, Vecie Yasinsac, and Tom Comeau and several dearly loved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Alice's name be made to the Anson County Animal Shelter, 7257 Old US Highway 74, Polkton, NC, 28135.
