Ira Boyette, 74, of Vernon, FL went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, in Panama City, FL. He was born in Vernon on June 12, 1947, to the late Andrew Russ and Ruby Bailey. Ira was a simple man with a big heart who enjoyed looking after his family. He never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. Ira always enjoyed working. He spent many years instilling work ethic, respect, honor, and pride to all his nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. He was a good old country boy who liked getting his hands dirty. He loved country music, his flag, and his country. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Ira is survived by his siblings; Christina (Charles), Rex (Linda), Wilton, Willard, Ronnie, Andrew, Michael, and Linda; nephews, Tommy, Nealie, John, Josh, Tyron, and Cary; nieces, Amanda, Jessica, Candace, Natalie, Karrah; and a host of loving great-nieces and nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Oasis Worship Center with Pastor Tommy McCormick officiating. Interment will follow at Sheffield Cemetery in Vernon, FL. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday at the church.
