Twila Joy Crist, 84, went home to see Jesus on July 18, 2021 in Palisade, Colorado. 

Twila was born on December 13, 1936 to George Edward and Glessie Mae (Miracle) Jones in Grand Junction, Colorado, where she lived her entire life.  Twila married Ronald Ray Crist in 1959. Twila loved the Lord and enjoyed serving in the women's ministries and singing in the choir at Palisade Church of the Nazarene.  She loved baking peach pies for all the church functions from potlucks to bazars. Twila loved taking her children and grandchildren to church and taught them about Jesus.  She loved family gatherings so she could cook for everyone and hear the laughter they brought to the table.  Twila loved to travel, nurturing her flower garden, taking pictures and cooking.  She gave without expectations and loved unconditionally.  She was truly one of a kind as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Twila was preceded in death by her parents; George Edward and Glessie Mae (Miracle) Jones, brothers; John, Wayne, and Vernon. She is survived by her husband Ronald Ray Crist, their children; Gary Crist and Jana Balmer, Grandchildren; Jessica (Dave) Milo, Melissa Pruitt, John Crist, Benjamin Crist, Elizabeth (Justin) Svalina, 9 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Palisade Church of the Nazarene on Wednesday July 28th at 11 a.m. This will be followed by a graveside service at the Palisade Cemetery.  In leu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Palisade Church of the Nazarene 3595 Front Street Palisade, CO 81526.
