Mr. John Irvin Jones, 84, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Rose Tara in King. He was born in Smith County, VA on April 16, 1937, the son of the late John Harrison Jones and Ruth Elsie Richardson Jones. John loved music and sang in a gospel group. He loved to camp and watch westerns. He also loved his three dogs. John is survived by his wife of 46 years, Susie Jones; five children, Darlene King (James), Perry Jones, Wanda Tilley, Eddie Randle Hutchens (Robin), and Richard Lee Hutchens (Tammy); 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, George Lloyd Jones (Wilma). Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Pinnacle Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 prior to the service at the church.
