Mark Leroy Vice, Sr., 87, of Statesville passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Iredell Health Systems in Statesville. He was born March 1, 1934 in Calhoun County, SC to the late David Eugene Vice and Hattie Elmer Weldon Vice. Mark was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Statesville, Shriners and Masons. He was a National Guard veteran and retired from the construction industry. Mark enjoyed fishing, South Carolina Gamecocks football and basketball. He loved his family and people, and his last words to them would always be “I love you.” Most of all, he loved his Lord and Savior above all else. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 56 years, Dorothy Delores Vice; brother, Mack Vice; and sister, Willie Jean Wadford. Rev. Chris Fitzgerald and Rev. Gervace Hitch will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
