In loving memory of Florence Mable Dixon (Potts), 94 years old, who passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of July 18, 2021. Beloved daughter of William (Bill) and Elizabeth Potts, pre-deceased. Dear wife of John (Jack) Dixon, pre-deceased. Loving mother of James (Gisele) and Bill. Cherished Grandmother of Scott (Lindsey) and Brent (Renee). Loving Granny to Summer, Preston, Charlie, Brooke and Paige. Pre-deceased by her siblings, Emily Hughes, James and Willis (Bud) Potts. Survived by Shirley Potts and Mary Hughes, and families. Florence was a proud member of the Eastern Star, joining as a young girl in Thunder Bay. She enjoyed all the friendships, social activities and trips. She was a long-time member of the Saint James in the Valley United Church. She loved to travel, garden and was a talented quilter, knitter and needle-pointer. The family would like to thank all of the staff at St. Joseph’s Clarion Site for the care and compassion shown to Florence in her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations to the ALS Society of Canada or St. Joseph’s Villa would be appreciated. Funeral Service in the Lougheed Funeral Home Hanmer/Capreol chapel, 4605 Michelle Dr., Hanmer on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 11am. Interment in the family plot at the Valley East Cemetery.
