Robert J. Stark Sr., age 92 of Winona, MN passed away surrounded by family at Lake Winona Manor on Wednesday, July 21st, 2021. Robert was born January 10, 1929 to Frederick and Ethel Stark. He married Patricia Maack on July 25th, 1950. Robert worked at Federal Bakery and Frank-Len’s full service gas station in LaCrosse, Wisconsin and then moved to Winona and worked for Fiberite and retired from Miller Felpax. Robert was an avid CB’er and later became a Ham Operator and even made contact with the space shuttle! He belonged to the RC Radio Club which would raise money for Jerry Lewis’s telethon for Jerry’s Kids. He loved building and flying remote control airplanes, fishing, deer hunting with his sons and sons-in-law, camping, taking care of his lawn, feeding and watching the birds and sitting under the apple tree listening to music. Robert loved his family and grandchildren. Robert resided at Lake Winona Manor and enjoyed playing bingo and talking with the residents and made many friends. He enjoyed that his granddaughter Madisyn worked there and cared for him. His daughter-in-law Deneice would stop by often to visit and take him for walks to the Dairy Queen and the Root Beer Stand. Robert is survived by his children: Vicki (Michael) Wicka of Arizona, Robert Jr (Carol) Stark of Winona, Bruce Stark of Tennessee, Pam Billiet of Winona, Lejean Dennis (Larry) of Osceola, WI, Ken (Donna) Stark of Winona. 14 Grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara Thomas of Winona, Sandy Hodges of Utah, and Norma Olson of Iowa. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patricia, son Tim Stark, daughter Cathy Theis, grandson Matt Wicka, son-in-law Bruce Billiet and Steve Bouldan. His sister Loretta Stark, Lorraine Bambenek, Karen Stark. Brothers Manuel, Eugene, Lloyd, Fritz and Merritt Stark. We would like to thank Lake Winona Manor for caring for our father and making him feel at home. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, August 6 at Fawcett Junker Funeral Home, Winona.
