Little Orleans, MD- Blanche Edna Fishback, 88, of Little Orleans, MD passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at her home.  Born June 26, 1933 in Goshen, VA, Mrs. Fishback was the daughter of the late John Rodney Smith and Annie Jeannette (Bradds) Smith.  She was also preceded in death by her husband John William Fishback, Sr.; her common law husband:  Horace Lee Slenbaker; her sister:  Maudie Minter; and her brothers:  Fred Smith, John T. Smith, Glen Smith, RL Smith, Ira Smith, and Frank D. Smith.  Blanche was a graduate of Goshen High School and retired from Bethlehem Steel as a crane operator.  She had a green thumb and collected dolls, having thousands in her home.  She was also an avid collector of coins and bears.  She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mt. Jackson Moose and also the Steelworker’s Union Hall/Club, Dundalk, MD.  Blanche is survived by her sons:  Anthony Duane Fishback and wife Darlene; John “Mickey” Fishback; and Michael Fishback and wife Teresa; a brother:  Alfred “Bob” R. Smith; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.  Per her request there will be no services.
