Janice Rhonda Flint

Jan was an amazingly strong and dynamic woman who was a force to be reckoned with. She was blessed with gifts and talents that she put to good use in her many roles in life. She was like a fireball, though small in stature, her personality was the largest in the room. Always smiling, she was the kind of person who could be found throughout all the ages and phases of her life cheering for others. Cheering others on in their dreams, at games, sporting events, academic, personal and professional lives, and in the pursuit of faith. She knew exactly who she was, and she knew exactly where she was going. She was not only a positive influence, she was also incredibly sweet and caring and lived her life with compassion for others. Jan had a huge heart, and had an open door policy at the family home. Over the years, many entered as strangers and stayed as members of the family. Her home was considered the "Happy House" because of the joyful way she lived, loved and uplifted others. For such a little lady, she always knew how to facilitate and make things happen for those that needed her. She made a difference in the lives of others and everyone who knew her felt truly loved in her presence.
Born in Watervliet, MI, Jan was the daughter of James Hester and Gloria (Moore) Daggitt. Growing up, she was proud to be a Decatur Raider. On May 16, 1981 she married the love of her life, Gregory Flint. Together they raised their ever growing family, fulfilling Jan's greatest life dream of being a mother, in Lawton, MI. Jan worked as a supervisor at Welch's for many years and then went to work for the Van Buren County ISD where she lived her heart's desire of working around children, which brought her great joy. Those who had the pleasure of working with her thought she was wonderful. She enjoyed traveling, playing board games, listening to music and anything she could do with her family. Most of all, Jan absolutely adored spending time with her grandchildren.
With her eyes fixed on Jesus, Jan passed away surrounded by as much family as possible on Wednesday July 21, 2021.
Jan leaves behind her husband, Gregory Flint.
