Brenda Fay Hudson Obituary

Brenda Fay Hudson was born on November 1, 1956, in Clanton, Alabama to the late

Samuel E. Lykes and Mary Louise Lawson of Clanton, Alabama.

Brenda accepted Christ. She was a member of West End Church of Christ of Clanton, Alabama.

She left Clanton shortly after graduating from Chilton County High School and moved to

Brooklyn, New York. She eventually joined her family in Detroit, Michigan and then returned

to Clanton in 1997 where she reunited with and married her high school sweetheart, James

Carl Hudson, Sr., in January 2000. James Hudson preceded her in death along with five siblings,

Wanda Gail, Jerry Wayne Lykes, Jimmy, Cecil, and Katy Louise Lawson.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving mother, Mary Louise Lawson; four daughters,

LaToya (Rodney) Bolden, Tierra Lykes, Tomesea Lykes, and Courtney (Justin) Poole;

stepchildren, Trydaniel Pearson, Lamekia (Juan) Wilson, James C. Hudson, Jr., Kaneria Hudson, and Maurice Simon; Seven siblings, Elder Jesse E. Lykes, Sr., Monica Lykes, Roscoe (Patricia) Morrow, Luvertha Morrow,

Willie Lawson, Willodean Jenkins, and Clifton Lykes; stepsisters and brothers, Abigail (Curtis)

McCall, Washeena, Varline, Kerry, Angela, and Rachel Lykes, Antoinette (Darius) Mitchell, Terrell

(Jennifer) Lykes, and Derrell (Wendi) Lykes; her sisters/friends, Benita Cook of Montgomery,

AL, Brenda Tinsley and Jacqueline Higgins, both of Clanton, AL; eight grandchildren; two

great-grandchildren; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.
