Carolyn Sue (Combs, VanBlaricum) Iffert Obituary

Carolyn Sue (Combs, VanBlaricum) Iffert, 67, of Ingraham, died on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Carolyn was born on November 15, 1953 in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Fred Combs and Vivian May Bare. She married Gene Iffert on March 23, 1991 in Steelyville, TN, and he survives. Carolyn was an Olney High School graduate. She was the Co-Owner of Iffert's Electric until she retired in 2019. She enjoyed traveling and going to the casino. She loved the outdoors and looked forward to mushroom hunting in the spring. Carolyn loved to take her grandkids out on the Gator, and going to the "rock pile" was always the highlight of the Gator ride. She was an excellent baker and was well known for her sugar cookies and her cakes that she would make for her family. Carolyn was a very artistic person, and she will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved her.  Carolyn is also survived by her children, Kyle (Christy) VanBlaricum and Ryan VanBlaricum; Step-children, Ronda (Kyle) Hance, Chad (Jennifer) Iffert and Curt (Michelle) Iffert; Grandchildren, Bryce and Trenton Hance, Austin and Kylie Iffert, Isabella, Olivia and Makayla Iffert, Alexandra and Alyssa VanBlaricum; Brother, Glenn (Cindy) Combs; Sister, Kay (Don) Novak; Sister in laws, Shirley Combs and Linda Combs. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; Granddaughter, Autumn M. VanBlaricum; Sister, Barbara Ann Combs; Brothers, Charles Ray Combs and Dale Combs.  A private family Funeral Service will be held for Carolyn at 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a private family visitation beginning two hours before service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ingraham Cemetery. Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
