Rev. Kenneth "Kenny" Anderson

Rev. Kenneth “Kenny” Anderson, age 69 went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, July 22, 2021 at his home, with his family by his side.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Gwyn Anderson and Rev. Mark Hall officiating.  The casket will lie-in-state from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.  Burial with presentation of flag by the Army National Guard will follow in the church cemetery. 

Rev. Anderson was born May 29, 1952 in Iredell County to George Wilson and Marie Anderson.  He served in the United States Army and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  Kenny was the pastor at Arbor Grove Baptist Church for 35 years. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother; Michael Anderson. 

He is survived by his wife; Shirley Combs Anderson of the home, a daughter; Lisa Anderson White and husband Robert of North Wilkesboro, a sister; Susie McGlamery and husband Johnny, five brothers; Gwyn Anderson and wife Martha, Calvin Anderson and wife Rudy, Clayton Anderson and wife Marsha, Russell Anderson and wife Barbara, Timothy Anderson and wife Sandra and several nieces and nephews. 

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
