Arthur H. Hayes

On Sunday, July 18th, Arthur Hayes, loving husband and father of three passed away at the age of 72. Arthur was born on June 7th, 1949 in Little Falls NY, to Arthur and Hilda Hayes. He was a successful entrepreneur who owned several gas stations through the Syracuse area. On April 30th 1983 he married Gail Burgmeier. They raised two sons, Zachary and Russell, and a daughter Jessica. Art was a kind person to any and all who came across him. He was more concerned with helping a person rather than determining if they deserved help. He was an avid golfer and bowler, accomplishing both a hole in one and a perfect bowling game. Arthur is preceded in death by his father Arthur Hayes and Hilda Hayes. He is survived by his wife Gail, sons Zachary and Russell, his daughter Jessica, his brother David, several cousins, niece, and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Goddard Crandall Shepardson funeral home at 3111 James Street on July 23rd from 6-8pm. Flowers can be sent to 3111 James Street Syracuse, NY 13206.
