Deloris June Sliger McCauley died Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Medical City Hospital, Fort Worth, Texas. June was born June 18, 1936, in Lovelady, Oklahoma to Robert Andrew and Sarah Roshie Roberts Sliger. She graduated Stonewall High School. She attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma studying legal education as well as some courses at Texas Christian University. She moved to Fort Worth in 1964 and married Miles Alfred McCauley on May 2, 1966. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1993. June was a member of Saint Matthew United Methodist Church in Fort Worth. June was an avid walker. She enjoyed volunteering for many groups including Meals on Wheels and East Side Ministries. She enjoyed many activities such as gardening, tai chi, yoga and bible study. She had a career as a legal secretary retiring from Harris Finley and Bogle in 2003 after 21 years. Survivors include son, Mark McCauley, of Fort Worth, Daughters Susan Ann Matheus of Fort Worth and Carol Johnson, of Bethpage, TN and their families. One sister, Jane Hatfield of Ada; One brother, Royce Sliger of Stonewall and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved. June was preceded in death by her son Miles Andrew McCauley, husband Miles Alfred McCauley, parents Robert Andrew and Sarah Roshie Roberts Sliger; siblings Avana Hobbs, Vera Deaton, Marie Nickell, Verlie Flowers, Edith Flowers, J.B. Sliger, Willard Sliger, Robert Sliger and an infant sister, Alvilda Sliger. June said that her mother was always with her in her life and she will always be with her son Mark each day for the rest of his life. Visitation to be held at Wade Funeral Home, 4140 W Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington, TX 76013 on Wednesday, July 28th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and a private graveside service for Family will be held at Rosedale cemetery in Ada, Oklahoma on July 30th at 1:00 PM.
